In particular, 9 deaths last year occurred in Nigeria, two people were killed during a militant attack, and another 10 – in Russia. However, the relative numbers of deaths in this company is declining. In 2006, Shell had recorded 43 deaths, and in 1997 – 67. And just two weeks ago, Shell and oilfield company Amec has been sentenced to claim authorized the United Kingdom on the health and safety to a fine of 150 thousand pounds each for the death of an employee firm Amec, to work for Shell platform in the North Sea.
