Tomorrow in Helsinki the 28-aya meeting of chapters of delegations of stran-uchastnic Convention is opened about defence of marine environment of the Baltic sea, where will come into question ecological aspects of project of gas pipeline «North stream» WWF To Russia together with other public organizations, included in coalition «Net Baltic», will present the analysis of ecological risks of this project to the representatives of governments.The basic conclusions of joint analiza:· public organizations welcome
decision of developers of project of gas pipeline «North stream» to execute all requirements of Convention about the strategic estimation of affecting environment, in spite of the fact that Russia is not its participant;· public organizations mark a high level
to the openness at the discussion of affecting estimation environment, mark however, that Russian organizations had less possibilities for an acquaintance with documents, what at organizations from other countries;· German public organizations express a concern
by the choice of eventual terminal of gas pipeline, because it is located within the limits of special to the guarded natural territory, included in the European network «Natura-2000», therefore public organizations call developers to go back to consideration of this question
and to offer alternatives.In a center attention of public organizations there is a choice of north or south variant of route of pipeline in the gulf of Finland. Russian public organizations are insisted on a north route, as the south presents
large risks from an intensive navigation and encroachment of pipeline in the scopes of the created Ingermanlandskogo preserve. At the same time, Finnish public organizations would like to get detailer information about a north variant, as in this case
