Putting into the operation of setting “W-EKHZ” on processing of the impoverished hexafluoride of uranium (OGFU) planned at the end of June, 2009. In the last week of May at the Electrochemical plant of Zelenogorska (Krasnoyarskiy edge) the integration tests of this setting were conducted. Tested at first on single to motion – without the serve of basic environments – hydrogen and hexafluoride of uranium; then an equipment is tested in the real working mode.New setting – first in Russia and third in the world – will allow to translate the impoverished hexafluoride
uranium in zakis’-okis’ uranium, safe and requiring less expenses on storage chemical form. Setting “W-EKHZ”, based on French technology of conversion of OGFU in industrial scales, created by firms AREVA-NC and SGN (France). Project power – processing
10000 tons of OGFU in a year. Zakis’-okis’ of uranium – matter, near to the natural state of uranium ores. It is stable, easily added to preservation, comfortably at transporting. Zakis’-okis’ of uranium is subject to of long duration storage for the subsequent use
