Chairman of the Inter RAO EES Yevgeny Dod and Minister of Energy and Natural Resources of Armenia Armen Movsisyan in Yerevan signed a new five-year contract fiduciary Armenian nuclear power plant – the only nuclear power station in the Caucasus.Before signing the contract Armenian nuclear power plant has five years under the administration of Inter RAO EES . The project will cost an estimated Department of Energy of Armenia, 1.5 – 2 billion dollars SSHA.V early October, the Armenian nuclear power plant shut down for 85 days in connection with major maintenance. Repair works include, inter alia, unloading nuclear fuel from the reactor and inspection of its hull, chemical washing steam, assembling and launching of a new system for detecting leaks in the reactor.
