Presently the Leningrad atomic station works as three power units which carry the nominal loading for 1000 Mvt each. 115,8% from the April plan.From data of CAS of control radiation situation in the district of location of Leningrad AES and in the 30-kilometrovoy area of supervision does not differ from a natural natural background and corresponds to the long-term values
to the natural radiation for this locality.Leningrad AES is the branch of OAO «Business concern Energoatom», 100% shares of which OAO belongs «Atomenergoprom». The station is located in town Pinery, in a 80 km to the west of Saint Petersburg ashore gulf of Finland.
LAES is the first in a country station with the reactors of Rbmk-1000 (uran-grafitovye nuclear reactors of channel type on thermal neutrons). On AES 4 power units are exploited by electric power 1000 Mvt each.
