On Saratov hydroelectric power PLANT a momentous event happened: in May 230 milliards of kilowatt-hours of electric power are produced from the moment of starting of the first hydroelectric generator. In December, 1967 first 4 from the 24-kh hydroelectric generators of the hydro-electric power station were put into an operation. In a year, to December, 1968, Saratov hydroelectric power PLANT produced already 2 milliards kWh. In April, 2004 the general making of electric power from the beginning of exploitation of the station made 200 milliards
kWh. Index in 230 milliards kWh the station attained 2009 at the beginning of May. For comparison: all Saratov area annually consumes a poryadka 10 milliard kWh electric power, and all power-stations, located in the Saratov area, generate an over 40 milliard totally
kWh every year (on this index an area occupies the first place in PFO). Exactly with putting into the operation of the hydroelectric power station the Saratov area, before energodeficitnaya, began fully to provide the requirements in electric power and pass its surplus
in nearby regions.Today Saratov hydroelectric power PLANT is to one of the largest hydroelectric power stations of European part of Russia. On making it yields Volzhsk hydroelectric power PLANT and Zhigulevskoy hydroelectric power PLANT. Annually SARGES produces and passes in the grid of Center and Povolzh’ya
on the average 5,6 milliards kWh. It is exemplary seventh from all volume of electric power, generated in the Saratov area. In Branch of OAO «Rusgidro»-« Saratov hydroelectric power PLANT», as well as on other stations of OAO «Rusgidro», the long-term program of technical rearmament will be realized
and reconstructions, expected to 2030 year. In 2009 on these aims it is planned to expend an about 1400 million rub (a 1 800 million rub was mastered last year). The complex of measures on modernization and reconstruction of equipment will allow to increase total power of the hydroelectric power station
almost on 10% (after replacement of all gidrogeneratorov and setting of new turbines). During 5 nearest years the total set power of all asms of the station already will be increased on 22 Mvt (now it is 1360 Mvt).
