The company SOCAR Energy Georgia (51% owned Gosneftekompanii Azerbaijan) and the Government of Georgia signed an agreement for the sale of gas distribution companies.The document was signed by Minister of Economy of Georgia Lasha Zhvania and President of the Azerbaijani company SOCAR (SOCAR) Rovnag Abdullayev, transmits RBK.V accordance with the agreement, SOCAR Energy Georgia is committed for three years gasify subscribers in the regions of Georgia and invest in the development of the industry 40 million U.S. In possession of SOCAR Energy Georgia take over 22 regional distribution companies of Georgia – they are in the regions of Kakheti, Mtskheta-Mtianeti, Shida and Kvemo Kartli, in Adjara, Guria, Imereti, Samegrelo.
