day. Record of price «baskets» it was set on July, 3, 2008, when a level was attained in 140,73 dollar. A middle price on results 2008 was 94,45 dollar for a barrel. In January, 2009 a middle cost of barrel of oil of OPEC was 41,52 dollar for a barrel, in February – 41,35 dollar,
in March – 45,78 dollar for a barrel, in April – 50,2 dollar for a barrel.In March, 2008 a basket was extended to 12 sorts of oil due to Ecuador.Thus, presently the cost of basket of OPEC is determined as a middle arithmetic index of physical costs of the followings
sorts of oil, obtained by the countries of cartel: Saharan Blend (Algeria), Girassol (Angola), Oriente (Ecuador), Iran Heavy (Iran), Basra Light (Iraq), Kuwait Export (Kuwait), Es Sider (Libya), Bonny Light (Nigeria), Qatar Marine (Qatar), Arab Light (Saudovskaya Arabia), Murban (OAE) and BCF 17 (Venezuela), reports RIA «News».
